I’m not sure what I’m doing here anymore. Tumblr has blessed me with great friends, people I thought I’d never meet! But I’ve been feeling increasingly disconnected from everyone in real life.

My personal tumblr takes up way way more time than it ever should! Checking my dash is the first thing I do, to make sure I didn’t miss someone’s personal post or some amazing piece of art or an articlethat might as well change my outlook on something. It’s good.

It’s also a huge timesink. It keeps me aware of things I don’t care about (video games, fandom wars, Homestuck), useless information (a lot of things that are happening in US America/regional politics) and people I’d rather forget!

I’m just happy doing my own thing, keeping in touch with people on skype, escaping the horrible feedback loop that I find myself in because of tumblr

Also the people cult is really creeping me out. As is the constant negativity and all the other bad things! I’d like to have nothing to do with that. I’d like to not be aware of silly pop culture things and why this game is bad and why that one is good or the newest tumblr social justice warrior idiocy! I’d like to not know these things anymore.

Long story short, I’m retiring this, my personal tumblr, for the time being! I’ll still be updating my art and worldbuilding blog, but that’s about it. I’d like to not shitpost or reblog here, anymore, unless someone links me to a tutorial or ref that’s so good i just have to save it somewhere. Maybe I’ll post those on my art blog, too.
